This award recognizes people who best exemplify outstanding service, passionate advocacy, dedicated support, and contributions to the betterment of Queen's and our country, embodying the spirit of Kathleen Beaumont Hill.

Join the celebration

A night to reconnect with fellow members of the Queen's alumni community, this year’s reception will be held at The Vancouver Club, situated in the heart of the downtown business district. Guests will enjoy a dinatoire reception with cocktails as we recognize the achievements of this year’s recipient. Guests are encouraged to wear business attire for this event. Please see The Vancouver Club Dress Rules for more details. This building is fully accessible for all mobility types. 


Daniel Jarvis, Arts’72

Mr. Jarvis has contributed to the Vancouver community in a number of important ways and excels at bringing great people together to develop creative ways to build businesses. He has also served as a mentor to many entrepreneurs, and he has served on the boards of cultural, educational and tourism organizations. One of his longest and most valued associations has been with Union Gospel Mission, which works on Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside to help individuals overcome poverty, homelessness, and addiction.

Queen's is proud to recognize such a dedicated, generous individual – and to celebrate his community impact with the Kathleen Beaumont Hill Award.
