Jessica Sealey is a PhD candidate in Cultural Studies at Queen鈥檚 University. Her thesis research focuses on nineteenth-century Britain and how ideologies of morality and sexuality constructed the discourses of medicine, sanitation, and moral reform, and shaped Victorian public health policies such as the Contagious Diseases Acts of 1864, 1866, and 1869. Jessica holds a Masters in the History of Art from the University of Western Ontario and has previously worked in Ontario鈥檚 visual arts and tourism sectors.
