What is the best part of your job?
I love watching our WE-CAN clients grow their business success. Over the years, we’ve worked with hundreds of women who initially came to us with an idea for a product or service, and are now flourishing. Watching them turn around and support other women-led businesses as they get launch, grow and scale their own enterprises is so fulfilling. It’s an ever-evolving cycle of community impact that is creating real change in our community and beyond.

What is an important piece of advice you would give to a woman who is thinking about entrepreneurship?
We were never meant to do business alone. The WE-CAN Project works with solopreneurs and other entrepreneurs who are overwhelmed by the day-to-day demands of running a business. The good news is that surrounding yourself with a community of other business owners – not to mention experienced coaches, trainers and mentors – is a proven success formula. It helps keep you accountable, boosts your mental health, teaches you new skills, and keeps you up-to-date on resources, funding and other supports that can make a big difference in your business success.

What is something you would tell women at any stage of their entrepreneurship journey?
Nothing will test your belief in yourself and your abilities as much as becoming an entrepreneur. It’s an ongoing journey in resilience, creative problem-solving and self-trust that’s unlike anything else I’ve ever encountered. But if you keep showing up, trusting yourself and surrounding yourself with a supportive community of other business owners and experts, you’re on the path to success.
