On September 8, -- a computer running a deep learning program, or an AI. Queen's philosopher Catherine Stinson was interviewed on to talk about the piece. Although the AI-authored article is very impressive, Stinson suggests that it still shows some of the weaknesses of AI: It's 'riffing' on existing writing, but in uncreative ways. She imagines that if humans all stopped writing for the internet, and let artificial agents take their place, the writing would very quickly get stale.
