Dr. Catherine Stinson will be joining Queen's as a new faculty member in both the Department of Philosophy and the School of Computing at Queen鈥檚.
Catherine is coming to us from a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Bonn and the University of Cambridge and has a wide range of scholarly expertise, in AI ethics, computational modeling methods, model organisms, mechanistic explanation, body perception, and classification in psychiatry. Dr. Stinson also has interests in philosophy of computation and the philosophy of science. She has published widely and is active in public debate on normative questions about science and technology.
Catherine has a wonderful record as an accomplished scholar, teacher and colleague. She will be a marvellous addition to our philosophical community, and we very much look forward to her joining us.
