PhD Thesis Research: My dissertation will investigate the Napoleonic appropriations in Italy (1796-1798), and more specifically, the circumstances that led to the looting of Pietro Perugino's paintings from Perugia (1797). I am also studying the fate of these paintings after they arrived in Paris and were dispersed to regional museums in France, where many of them have remained.
