This past week, we welcomed back to campus distinguished alumnus, Wendy Alderdice (MIR’ 91) for an engaging talk with the MIR and PMIR students on Business Strategy and Tactics: The Critical Role of People and Culture.
As a seasoned HR professional with over two decades of experience in consulting with Canadian and international businesses, Wendy shared a compelling blend of statistics and stories to help us understand what undergirds the persistent gap between intended strategy and results in the majority of contemporary organizations – and how to bridge the gap.
Wendy’s visit was part of the Winkler Speaker Series in Industrial Relations which connects students with successful professionals across the HR/LR industry, greatly expanding their knowledge and understanding in the field.
