Queen鈥檚 students living on and near campus will soon be able to get the groceries they need without leaving home thanks to Campus Market, the university鈥檚 new grocery delivery program. This new service will help keep the Queen鈥檚 and the Kingston communities stay safe by reducing traffic to local grocery stores and promoting physical distancing as the pandemic continues. Deliveries are available to students living within a 4km radius of campus.

鈥淭he health and safety of students and the community remains our top priority. By offering grocery delivery service at an affordable rate, we鈥檙e aiming to help students get the nutrition they need to stay well while they stay home to help limit the spread of COVID-19,鈥 says Jennifer Pete, Associate Director, Housing and Ancillary Services. 鈥淚t will be especially helpful for those directed to self-isolate by public health authorities.鈥

Students can schedule their orders online for the next day or later. A wide variety of pantry staples and fresh produce is available, including dairy, eggs, fruits, vegetables, meat, and dry goods. Deliveries are sent Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Campus Market follows all relevant health and safety guidelines, and the delivery process is entirely contactless. One Queen鈥檚 Hospitality staff member will deliver orders right to the student鈥檚 door and let them know it鈥檚 available through an online notification.

Costing only a flat $2 delivery fee, in addition to the price of the groceries, the new program is designed to be as financially accessible to as many students as possible. As an introductory offer, free delivery is available within the delivery radius for a limited time.
