Timber Timbre will perform at The Isabel on September 13. 

A new music series will bring some of Canada's most sought-after performers to Kingston to perform as part of the inaugural season at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts. will showcase music by the country's best young artists, including the Juno nominated band, , and singer-songwriter, , twice shortlisted for the .

"聹The Isabel is already building a reputation in the classical music community,"聺 says Jerry Doiron, Director of the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts. "聹Artists want to perform in this acoustically remarkable space. With this series, we are opening up the possibilities, and will be making the space come alive with other genres of music. I know the effect will be just as spectacular."

The Isabel Goes Alt series will kick off with a concert by Toronto'聶s on September 13, followed by shows by on October 9, and on November 12.

 Basia Bulat will grace The Isabel's stage on November 12. 

 

The series, which was curated by Virginia Clark from Flying V Productions (The Grad Club), will bring three acts to Kingston this fall. The shows are deliberately priced to be accessible to the Queen'聶s student community with tickets ranging from $10 to $20.

Tickets will be available to Queen's students ONLY from Tuesday, August 26 (a Net ID will be required to make a purchase), with a limit of four tickets per person.

Tickets will go on sale for Queen'聶s faculty and staff, as well as the general public, on Sept. 3.

The Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts is a hub for artistic study, creation, exhibition and performance at Queen'聶s. It is home to the Department of Film and Media and also provides learning and working space for the university'聶s other creative arts disciplines.
