I am a master’s student focusing on the history of medicine in the twentieth century under the supervision of Dr. Jenna Healey. I have a particular interest in the history of healthcare systems, pharmaceutical pricing, public health and infectious disease, the doctor-patient relationship, and experiences of illness. My master's paper focuses on a neuropsychiatric syndrome, called encephalitis lethargica, as a case study of post-infectious illness and medical uncertainty in the 1920s and 1930s.
