Endpoint protection is the practice of securing endpoints, or entry points, of end-user devices like desktops, laptops, and mobile devices from being exploited by unauthorized access and malicious campaigns. Endpoint security systems protect these endpoints on a network or in the cloud from cybersecurity threats.

Device Health Standards
The intent of Endpoint Protection (EP) is to ensure that only healthy devices connect to Queen's systems to ensure no vulnerabilities or data compromises are introduced. This is done is through a "health check" of devices enrolled in the Endpoint Protection program.
If you are using a device to access Queen鈥檚 resources (such as Queen's email and/or any application requiring login with your NetID and password), and if the device was purchased using Queen鈥檚 funds (i.e. was not paid for out of pocket), you are required to enrol the device in the EP program.
You are not required to enrol a personal device in the Endpoint Protection program. However, should you choose to do so, you are welcome to enrol your personal device(s).

Queen鈥檚 University cannot see your personal information when you enrol a device into Queen's Endpoint Protection program. When you enrol a device, you give your organization permission to view certain pieces of information about your device, such as the device model and serial number. Queen鈥檚 University uses this information to help protect University systems and data being accessed by the device.
