Research Program Publications

The ASU has an active research program. The research has focused on phytoremediation and the environmental assessment and cleanup of contaminated sites in the Canadian North. Current arctic research topics include landfarming arctic soils contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons, permeable reactive barriers for PCBs, and mercury in edible plants. Other research topics include development of methods for benzene metabolites in animal tissue, arsenic speciation, mercury in the environment and phytoremediation of organic contaminants.
